Audrée H.St-Amour
"Inspired by ambiguity, the eye is engaged in a journey through graphic lines towards unusual shapes and colors. The fine metal has its meaning transformed, building a rhythmic imagery"
After three years of studies in Fine Arts at the Cégep du Vieux Montréal, Audrée H.St-Amour was first introduced to jewelry while traveling through Mexico and Central America. She found inspiration from traveling and working with young craftpeople selling their fiber, silver and semi precious gemstone jewelry. "Functional and wearable" became assets in her art practice : jewellery has become her main focus Looking to get more recognition for her work, she studied one semester at L'école de joaillerie de Montréal. Audrée H.St-Amour is currently studying jewelry/metal arts at NBCCD in the graduate studies program, where she distinguishes herself with an aesthetic rich in composition with the use of dissimilar design elements and materials. These one of a kind and limited edition pieces are becoming her trademark.
